Guodian large energy storage project

The Guodian Power Energy Storage Project is a significant initiative located in Jinzhou, Liaoning, China, with a capacity of 5,000 kW using lithium-ion battery technology1. The electro-chemical battery energy storage project uses lithium-ion as its storage technology. The project was announced in 2011. The operation mode of the energy storage power station is mainly to smooth the output of the new energy power plant and adjust the peak, and take into account certain frequency modulation ability. The project is scheduled to start on November 5, 2022, and the booster station will be charged on. The project plans to build a 200MW / 400MWh energy storage power station, which is the first time to adopt the technical route of serial voltage boost in a large-scale energy storage project in Jiangsu Province, with higher life cycle discharge, lower KWH cost and better economy.
